I always visit bakeries in each town I visit.
It’s been only recently that I visited a bakery Hayward CA. I wasn’t looking for a birthday cake or wedding cakes . No red velvet cake for me either. I was looking for the best carrot cake carrot cake. It didn’t have to be a traditional cake either, it could be one of those carrot cupcake cakes. Simply wanted a really good carrot cake, whatever from it took. I have always been partial to carrots in any form. A good carrot cake with fresh, homemade carrot juice is pure heaven. Hayward bakeries have many choices when it comes to carrot cakes. Personally, I don’t really care for fancy cake toppers. Just give me the basics. Decorations I can also live without. I mean, I understand cake decorating when buying a fancy chocolate cake or a wedding cake, but for your normal, everyday cake, I think it’s too much.
Strangely enough, the best carrot cake so far was not in a bakery in Hayward CA, but one right across the border in San Lorenzo. It’s so close to Hayward CA border on Hesperian Ave. that I never knew it was a different town. Only by looking their business card I realized they were in San Lorenzo.
